We are actively seeking vendors who make: pottery, skincare products related to sheep or fiber arts, sheep cheese or other food products, knit & crochet patterns, spinning wheels, fiber & yarn tools, weaving tools and supplies.

We do not accept any businesses that are part of multi-level marketing (MLM) schemes.

Note: We have very limited indoor space at this time and strongly suggest new vendors apply for a space in the covered Vendor Barn. More details on this space are below. You may still apply for an indoor space but be sure to select a second choice Vendor Barn space if you are able to vend there. There is a wait list for indoor spaces and you will be added to it.

We will start sending out new vendor acceptances in May, and we sometimes have last-minute openings. We review applications in batches, so it may be a few weeks before you receive a response.

Note that we do all vendor communication via our vendor email newsletter to which we will add the email address you provide – please DO NOT UNSUBSCRIBE from Lambtown Festival emails, and make sure our emails are not going to your spam folder or a “Promotions” tab. Add [email protected] to your address book or create a filter that always sends emails from us to your inbox.

After submitting your application form, you will receive a copy via email. Returning vendors will pay in full and new vendors will pay an application fee when filling out the appropriate application form – please only fill out the returning vendor form if you were a vendor last year, and the new vendor form if you are new to our festival or returning after a break.

CALIFORNIA SELLER PERMITS REQUIRED FOR ALL VENDORS

California Sellers: You will be prompted to provide your resale number when registering. Note that you MUST register for a Temporary Location Permit before vending at Lambtown Festival, and they open 90 days before the event. We’ll send out a reminder in July, here are instructions: Log into your account at the CDTFA website, click on “Sales and Use Tax” next to your permit number, then click “More” under “I Want To”. Then you’ll get a whole list of stuff, click “Register a New Location”, and the first question is “Is this a temporary location?” Select Yes and proceed.

Out of State Sellers: Note that you MUST obtain a Temporary Seller’s Permit before you may vend at Lambtown Festival. They also open 90 days before the event, and we will send out a reminder in early July.

The address for the Dixon Fairgrounds is: 655 S 1ST ST DIXON CA 95620-3849

Note that when you file your sales tax after the show, there is an additional question on your return asking if you had sales at any state-designated fairgrounds. Be sure to select yes and enter your total. You may need to indicate that the Dixon Fairgrounds is in the 36th District Agricultural Association. There is no additional tax, it’s simply for reporting and helps the fairgrounds obtain State funding. More info is here.

LIABILITY INSURANCE REQUIRED FOR ALL VENDORS

In the past, we were able to obtain vendor liability coverage from the California Fair Services Authority, but they are no longer issuing that coverage. Unfortunately, we have found group rates to be prohibitively high. Our solution is to let those of you with your own liability insurance add the festival and fairgrounds as an additional insured – which is free on most policies – or to purchase event coverage from ACT Insurance at relatively low rates. ACT Insurance is also available on a monthly or annual basis, so there may be some cost savings for those of you with a busy fall or year-round schedule of shows.

If you have your own policy and are sending Certificates of Insurance directly, please make sure they cover the following:

1) Dixon Lambtown USA Association

2) That the State of California, the California Fair Services Authority, the District Agricultural Association, County Fair, the County in which the County Fair is located, Lessor/ Sublessor if fair site is leased/subleased, Citrus Fruit Fair, California Exposition and State Fair, or Entities (public or non-profit) operating California designated agricultural fairs, their directors, officers, agents, servants, and employees are made additional insured, but only insofar as the operations under this contract are concerned.

If you are purchasing through ACT Insurance, your COI will automatically be sent to us.

BOOTH INFORMATION

Indoor booths (Denverton and Madden Halls):

  • $525 per 10×10 space. $775 for 10×15 spaces, dependent on us pairing up two vendors to have adjacent booths of this size. $300 for one 10×5 space which is reserved for a returning vendor.
  • Maximum of 2 10×10 spaces per vendor, excluding returning vendors who had 3 spaces last year. Larger spaces are available outside, see below.
  • Booths along the walls of Madden Hall cannot use tent canopy frames due to curved support beams along walls. No canopies are allowed indoors.
  • Electricity is provided, but the plug could be up to 20 ft away from your booth space and you may only have access to one outlet/socket. We recommend bringing extension cords and power strips in good condition with sheaths intact.
  • We have been able to provide free WiFi in the past for indoor booths, but it is not guaranteed and it is difficult for us to confirm before set-up day. LTE reception has been good in the past. We are not responsible for WiFi or LTE outages or poor reception.

Outdoor Covered booths (The Vendor Barn):

All booths are under the roof though ones near the edges of the barn may not have full shade.

  • $250 per 8×6 space, back of Vendor Barn. Surface is hard-packed dirt in your booth, aisles are asphalt.
  • $400 per 8×12 space, interior & edges of Vendor Barn. Surface is hard-packed dirt in your booth, aisles are asphalt.
  • $750 per 14×14 space, front show ring of Vendor Barn. Surface is hard-packed decomposed granite, relatively smooth.
  • Surface can be somewhat uneven. If you anticipate this affecting your display, please anticipate your needs by bringing shims, weights, or other items to make sure your display is stable.
  • Limited electricity may be available in the barn. If your booth requires uninterrupted electricity or has a high current demand, you may need to bring your own battery. As per above, bring long extension cords and power strips in good condition. LED lighting only, no incandescent bulbs due to current draw.
  • Tent frames are not permitted in 8×6 or 8×12 spaces due to their 10×10 size. Tent canopies are not allowed in the barn as it is a covered space.
  • Please come prepared for any type of weather, the festival will take place in heat, wind, rain, or shine.

All booths:

  • Tables and chairs are available for rent for an additional charge of $30/table and $5/chair which is our cost to rent them. Prior to the festival, we will email you with a link for reserving tables and chairs if you need them.
  • We will provide two festival passes and one parking pass per 10×10, 8×6, or 8×12 space, four festival passes and two parking passes for each 14×14 space. These are only needed during show hours on Sat and Sun, so helpers that will only be there for setup and breakdown don’t need them. If you need extra festival and parking passes, you can request them when registering.
  • We provide light snacks and drinks for all vendors in the Denverton Hall kitchen and the back of the Vendor Barn, including vegan and gluten-free options.
