Q: Can I bring my dog to the festival?
A: Service dogs are welcome and must be kept on leash at all times, and we respectfully ask that they keep some distance from the sheepdogs and sheep. No other dogs are allowed on the fairgrounds during our festival.
Q: How accessible are the fairgrounds, especially parking?
A: Please view our Safety and Accessibility info, and use the contact form if you still have specific questions.
Q: Are there EV charging stations at the fairgrounds?
A: There are no EV charging stations at the fairgrounds, but there are several in the city of Dixon. You can find a list at: https://www.plugshare.com/directory/us/california/dixon
Q: Do I need to purchase an admission ticket in advance?
A: You can purchase tickets in person, or buy them in advance to skip the ticket line. Kids age 12 and under are free, and you can get advance tickets for them as well. Students and volunteers get free admission on the day of their workshop or volunteer shift, so do not need to purchase tickets.
Q: Why can’t I sign up for two seats in a workshop or on the bus?
A: We limit each shopping cart to one seat since we strongly prefer people to register themselves so they get the confirmation email and reminders, and show up on rosters. Ideally to treat a friend you’d buy a gift card for them to use when registering themselves. If you absolutely must register someone else, you’ll need to check out again, and please add a note so we can manually update the rosters.
Q: Is there anything fun for kids to do?
A: Wooly Adventures is a fun area for all ages to enjoy fiber crafts like weaving and felting. A walk through the barns to meet sheep is always a good time, but please be sure little hands stay outside the fences. Our live bands love to see people of all ages dancing and enjoying the music. Don’t forget to check out the sheep shearing and sheepdog demonstrations throughout the day.
Q: I will be sleeping in a camper or trailer but do not need electrical or water hookups. Can I register for tent camping?
A: Tent camping applies to people who sleep in tents in the designated tent camping area. Anyone else staying onsite overnight must be in a trailer or RV in a designated RV space. The fairgrounds audits our campers and charges us accordingly.
Q: How can I become an exhibitor?
A: We have three types of booths at Lambtown Festival: fiber and craft vendors, food vendors, and nonprofits. You can find applications for all three here on our website. If you do not feel you fit one of those types of vendors, then a sponsorship would be your next best bet. Sponsorships can be in-kind and do not have to be strictly financial; if there’s a way you and your organization can help serve our mission, we would love to chat.
