Note: All classrooms are on the Dixon May Fairgrounds, 655 S 1st St, Dixon, CA. Our Producer Education series is geared towards shepherds and prospective shepherds, so is offered at a nominal fee and students do not get free admission on the day of their workshop.

Instructor: Dr. Rosie Busch

Dr. Rosie Busch is the Sheep and Goat Extension Veterinarian with UC Cooperative Extension at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. After earning her DVM from UC Davis, she worked in a rural mixed animal practice before returning for a residency in Large Animal Internal Medicine. She spent several years in the Livestock Medicine & Surgery service at the UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, teaching students and residents. She later joined the California Department of Food and Agriculture, focusing on antimicrobial stewardship. In her current role, Dr. Busch collaborates on research aimed at improving youngstock survival, maternal health and longevity, and the integration of small ruminants into nontraditional grazing systems.

We have flat rate pricing workshops, with up to two low-income spaces per session*. Materials fee, if any, is included in the price paid at the time of registration.

Admission Tickets

Admission tickets – including the Wool on Wheels busses – are transferable but not refundable. Lambtown Festival will be held rain or shine.

Workshops

Workshops can be cancelled with at least four weeks’ notice for a full store credit if you set up an account in our system, or a refund minus 15% cancellation fee. At any time, students may find a replacement to take their space – email [email protected] to let us know the name and email of the person taking your place.

Merchandise

Merchandise purchased through this website is custom made for each order. As such, no cancellations or refunds are available. If you are unhappy with the quality of the print, please contact Printful customer service for a replacement.

Camping Fees

Camping fees are not refundable. Lambtown Festival will be held rain or shine.

There are currently no Covid-19 restrictions on events of our size. We advise all students to take any precautions they deem necessary for their own safety in consideration of Covid-19. Vaccinations are not required to enter the fairgrounds but are highly encouraged for the safety of all our attendees. Hand sanitation and/or wash stations will be located throughout the fairgrounds, along with restrooms.
