Welcome to Dixon's

34th Annual

Lambtown Festival

Hello there,

The Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic has cast its shadow over every large gathering in the world for the foreseeable future, including Lambtown Festival. The priority of the Board of Directors will always be the health and safety of all of those involved in the festival. However, we also have a fiduciary responsibility to the local Dixon community and the many food, fiber, and other vendors that count on Lambtown Festival for a significant portion of their annual revenue. With nearly seven months until the first weekend in October, we are confident that the procedures currently being promoted by the CDC, Governor Newsom, the State Department of Public Health, and the Health Service Departments throughout Northern California will make conditions safe for holding the festival.

As such, we are moving forward to plan the best Lambtown Festival that we can imagine and will not scale back our plans for this year. We will continue to monitor the impact of COVID-19 and will follow the Interim Guidance provided by the CDC for mass gatherings. If you have any questions about Lambtown Festival’s preparations in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, please don’t hesitate to drop me a line at president@lambtown.org.

In the mean time, if you would like to know how to help members in the Lambtown Festival community, our first ask is that you follow the recommendations of the CDC, Governor Newsom, the State Department of Public Health, and your county’s Health Services Department to stop the spread of COVID-19. Second is to think of the impact on all the small businesses which are the backbone of Lambtown Festival and find ways to support them. Click here for a list of returning vendors who have already committed to this year’s festival and last year’s sponsors. Many, if not all of them offer online ordering and all would greatly appreciate your business in this difficult time. Many fiber festivals around the country have already been postponed or outright cancelled, including the Conference of Northern California Handweavers which was to take place in early April. Click here for a list of vendors from CNCH.

These are strange times we live in. Stay safe, and please reach out to me with any questions regarding Lambtown Festival.

Warm regards,

Roy Clemes
