Spindle Productivity with Abby Franquemont
Workshop Description: You've heard spindles can be as productive, or maybe even more productive, than more mechanized solutions like wheels and e-spinners -- but how? Let Abby show you how to measure your actual productivity with spindles, how to find your personal bottlenecks, and how to maximize your rate of production so you, too, can get lots more done with these simple, portable tools!
Experience Level: Beginner to Advanced. Should have produced at least one spindle worth of yarn.
Students Should Have: Your choice of spindle(s) and at least 2 ounces of prepared fiber of your choice
Recorded Workshop Details: This workshop was recorded exclusively for Lambtown Festival. Students who registered before the festival were invited to attend a webinar with the instructor, in which the instructor answered live questions from students. The recorded workshop is available for purchase now through the end of the year. Students have the opportunity to watch each video multiple times as they work through the techniques or simply soak up the expert advice.

Instructor Bio: Abby Franquemont, author of Respect the Spindle, finally realized her lifelong dream of returning to live in Peru, where she grew up spinning, weaving, and doing outrageous yarn tricks just like all the other kids in town. Confined by the pandemic to an ancient compound in the Inca sector of the town of Ollantaytambo, she spends her time spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting, writing, developing online content, writing bios she hopes are entertaining, and daydreaming about when we'll all get to do things together again in person.
