Color Play on the Drum Carder with Roy Clemes

Workshop Description: Brighten up your fiber prep with Color Play on the Drum Carder! In this demonstration style workshop, we’ll cover blending colors and creating gradients in a multitude of preparations. Whether you love heathery hues, homogenous blends, silky-smooth slivers, or texturous tweeds, this class will show you the techniques and give you the creative license for your own colorful creations.

Experience Level: Intermediate to Advanced

Students Should Have: A drum carder and an assortment of dyed fiber. Many of these techniques do translate to hand cards or a blending board, but all demonstrations will be on a drum carder.

Recorded Workshop Details: This workshop was recorded exclusively for Lambtown Festival. Students who registered before the festival were invited to attend a webinar with the instructor, in which the instructor answered live questions from students. The recorded workshop is available for purchase now through the end of the year. Students have the opportunity to watch each video multiple times as they work through the techniques or simply soak up the expert advice.
