Indie Dyeing Yarn with Alisha Bright
Time: Saturday, October 1st 9a.m.-12p.m.
Location: Dixon May Fairgrounds in Dixon, CA
Workshop Description: Creativity through color! Explore different methods of dyeing wool yarn including semi-solid, variegated and speckled. Each student will get to dye 2 skeins of yarn
Experience Level: No experience necessary
Students Should Bring: Apron, kitchen gloves
Instructor will supply: Yarn, dyes, vinegar, basic dyeing supplies and tools
Materials Fee: $40 included in workshop price

Instructor Bio: Alisha, creator and owner of Fiber Circle Studio, began knitting at age 17 and quickly dove into the rabbit hole of fiber arts, exploring weaving, spinning and dyeing. She now owns a yarn shop, makerspace and has an in-house hand dyed yarn line. Much of her time is spent working in fiber arts, as well as mothering her two young sons.
